Mares

"The 1984 winner, Dawn Run, was the first mare to win the Champion Hurdle". This is incorrect and I'm going to change it. African Sister was the first mare to win (there's a clue in the name). I have seen this error on a couple of other sites who are presumably using wikipedia as a reference. Perhaps the error comes from a reference to Dawn Run being the first horse to win the race with a mare's allowance- back in the days of African Sister it was strictly level weights! Missing times
