redundancy and style
editTo write he "was a former contestant" is redundant. He "was a contestant." If he won, then "he was the winning contestant." Page is difficult to read because of the lack of style, that is, "he did this, then he did this," etc. Suggest breaking it up with context, such as "he is a baseball expert."
