Finding sources
editWith regard to finding sources, perhaps a more experienced editor than me will consider this one from Thursday, September 25, 2003: Laputan Logic --Pawyilee (talk) 07:52, 2 November 2009 (UTC)
Not Wikiquote
editQuotations sections do not belong on Wikipedia WP:NOT WP:QUOTE they go on Wikiquote instead. 64.4.93.100 (talk) 17:04, 6 July 2014 (UTC)
- I don't see that applying here. Quotations of Mead would not be loosely associated with an article about him. They also display the subject's insight and personality. Glrx (talk) 01:02, 8 July 2014 (UTC)
- "Do not insert any number of quotations in a stand-alone quote section" WP:QUOTE. 64.4.93.100 (talk) 13:02, 8 July 2014 (UTC)
- WP:QUOTE is an essay and not policy. See also WP:Village pump (policy)#WP:QUOTE. Glrx (talk) 13:43, 8 July 2014 (UTC)
- "If you want to enter lists of quotations, put them into our sister project Wikiquote". 64.4.93.100 (talk) 14:01, 8 July 2014 (UTC)
- "While Wikipedia's written policies and guidelines should be taken seriously, they can be misused. Do not follow an overly strict interpretation of the letter of policy without consideration for the principles of policies. If the rules truly prevent you from improving the encyclopedia, ignore them. Disagreements are resolved through consensus-based discussion, not by tightly sticking to rules and procedures. Furthermore, policies and guidelines themselves may be changed to reflect evolving consensus." 85.211.125.202 (talk) 19:12, 8 July 2014 (UTC)
- Well then look at the pump discussion because that's the consensus. Quotes integrated into the article not by themselves. 64.4.93.100 (talk) 20:36, 8 July 2014 (UTC)
