Orphaned references in Carrier Strike Group One edit

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Carrier Strike Group One's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "navytimes.com":

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 16:12, 15 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

No link to WW2 heritage edit

I'm prepared to delete the whole section about CarDiv 1's activities during WW2 and before because I've been able to find no reliable source that says that the modern unit is a descendant of the WW2 unit. GlobalSecurity.org does link the two, but that's not RS. I thought I'd canvass for some opinions first before I do so.--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 20:24, 16 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

This is the second comment of this type you've made. However, see the talk page of CSG 7: there are clear NAvy claims that the CarDivs/CArGrus/CSGs are linked. However I'm not too worried about that, but much more importantly, why are you considering deleting it? Surely establishing Carrier Division 1 would be a much better alternative. Historical Background section edit

In the line "In June 1973, Carrier Division 1 was redesignated Carrier Group 1 (CarGru 1), and in January 1974, it was located at North Island, California.[19] " the text North Island hyperlinks to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_Island which is an article about the New Zealand island, while the text itself refers to the Naval Air Station North Island (NASNI) located on the Coronado Peninsula at Pier 'L' in San Diego, California. [1]

Unfortunately, I am unsure how to fix it.
