Operational history
editThis overall section was revised to concentrate on the operational history of Carrier Strike Group Nine during the 2004–2009 period. The following former features have been either eliminate outright or minimized to reflect this operational history orientation. They include:
- Change of command
- Maintenance cycles or overhauls
- Pre-deployment training
Additionally, effort has been taken to minimize jargon or the overuse of abbreviations. This is based on feedback from other contributors.Marcd30319 (talk) 15:57, 26 May 2012 (UTC)

Additions
editSorry, I've had to revert the reduction of text. I counted additions to one carrier, one HSM, three DDGs, and one UNREPGRU ship. This article covers at least two carriers, up to fifteen surface escorts, maybe about seven squadrons or more with squadron rotations, submarines, and mention of bases. The additions have not been done completely. Once they are done, it can probably be redirected to CSG 9. Buckshot06 (talk) 00:15, 26 May 2012 (UTC)
- Also, Combined Maritime Forces, Seventh Fleet, Pakistani Navy, French Navy, the ASWEX, etc, etc, etc. Most of the related articles are badly in need of additions. Buckshot06 (talk) 00:18, 26 May 2012 (UTC)
- All of the information cited above remains in the revised article as well as being archived here.Marcd30319 (talk) 15:57, 26 May 2012 (UTC)
