Creation edit
I still wanted to put something on Wikipedia that would be worthwhile for the UCSB women’s basketball program, so finally decided to just make a page for their current head coach Carlene Mitchell. I made an error in my initial attempt to make a page by including no sources. I accidentally clicked on "save page" and I knew immediately that I made a mistake. I finished the page in my sandbox and I believe this will be more suitable for Wikipedia.
For some reason, I assumed she already had a page, but her name was nowhere to be found. Instead of just winging it like I did on my previous attempt to make an article, I planned to model my page for Carlene Mitchell after another coach’s article. And fittingly, I chose her mentor C. Vivian Stringer’s page as my blueprint. My first attempt at putting this on the website was fruitless (after submitting it on Saturday, I received yet another friendly message of denial from Wikipedia), but I made some recent changes to make the page more legitimate (aka more sources) and so far so good.
