Excellent article & research. I was hoping you'd get the poem in- I had it as being by "Rhyming Richard", but that's not important. I'm sure I read somewhere that when all the other jockeys were "wasting", young Parsons was under orders to stuff himself with food at every opportunity to avoid having to carry too much lead in the race.
