Wording question edit

"He was executed for the murder of his employer in the flat above her shop where they both worked. It was the first execution in Gibraltar since 1896."

Was he executed in the flat or did the murder happen in the flat? I know it's likely the latter but it took me two readings to get there.

Thank you message edit

Very interesting article - look forward to reading about more unusual episodes in Gibraltar's history. Ijbenady (talk) 10:58, 2 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

Thanks! Could do with some expansion but I was struggling to find more sources... --Gibmetal 77talk 2 me 14:44, 16 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

Major Error edit

This article is grouped under 'current use' in the death penalty sidebar. Furthermore, it states that Piracy is still punishable by death. However, in 2002, the UK government outlawed the death penalty in all of its overseas possessions, as stated by the article about the death penalty in the UK.[1] Furthermore, as an integral part of the EU (the only overseas territory to have such status) the death penalty would not be permitted under EU law (AND article 2 of the ECHR).

Thanks for your input. I've now corrected this. --Gibmetal 77talk 2 me 12:51, 23 November 2012 (UTC)Reply
