premature tagging edit

The user tagged this page for deletion about 60 seconds after it was created. I didn't even get a chance to put anything in. It was one of the most famous companies in the east 20 years ago. Benjwong (talk) 19:26, 6 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Keep working, then. Badagnani (talk) 19:27, 6 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
Someone needs to remove the tag somehow. Benjwong (talk) 19:30, 6 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
If you added to the article, the tag would probably be removed. Badagnani (talk) 19:38, 6 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
I really want to just create the page and fill another gap. I was not thinking of doing huge research etc. Benjwong (talk) 19:51, 6 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Name edit

Why is the English name not a translation of the Chinese name (which means something like "Chinese Star Records"? Badagnani (talk) 19:38, 6 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Capital artists is the real name. Benjwong (talk) 19:50, 6 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Why does the Chinese name mean something different? Badagnani (talk) 19:58, 6 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Very few things are directly translated unfortunately. Benjwong (talk) 20:08, 6 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Sources edit

Need sources. Badagnani (talk) 19:39, 6 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Done. Badagnani (talk) 19:49, 6 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Genres edit

Did it release mainly Cantopop? Badagnani (talk) 19:39, 6 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Probably 90% was Cantopop. A couple mandarin albums here and there, and some UK and American English songs re-performed or translated. Benjwong (talk) 19:49, 6 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

"Capital Artist" edit

Why does zh:華星唱片 give "Capital Artist" as the English version of the name? Was that indeed the romanized name used by the company? If so, I suggest moving the page to "Capital Artist" (the official English spelling used by the company). Badagnani (talk) 19:50, 6 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

I believe that is a mistake on zh wikipedia. See for example or here. Benjwong (talk) 19:53, 6 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

To add edit

Translation of "於1996年已經被南華早報集團收購。" Badagnani (talk) 19:52, 6 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

I wouldn't take any more from zh wiki at this time. That page needs some sources too. Benjwong (talk) 19:55, 6 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

edit

Why does the logo have an "A" on it and not a "C"? Badagnani (talk) 19:58, 6 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

I don't know. I wish I knew. Benjwong (talk) 20:08, 6 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Mandarin edit

Should we also list the Mandarin pronunciation? I assume that Chinese name was used by Mandarin speakers as well. Badagnani (talk) 20:02, 6 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

If you want. Doesn't really matter. Benjwong (talk) 20:08, 6 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
