Too Long edit

I am calling other editors to help edit to make this article concise. The parts on history, etc are too long. CanadaMaple123 (talk) 00:38, 3 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

@Gatemansgc: Hi there - thanks for your note. indeed i am trying to make the article more concise, given its explosion (addition) of 52,000+ bytes of information done earlier by another editor. i read through the sections. The history and management sections are very long and unnecessary. that's why i trimmed them down. it is ok to get consensus. if you can help editing and making it more concise so much the better. which paragraphs you are objecting to being trimmed? @Kbimmfss: Hi there - i would like to bring to your attention your edits made earlier, where you added a lot of contents (mostly of historical nature) to this article. While expansion of the article is appreciated, the current content is viewed to be excessive and needs to be shortened to stay concise. Can you trim those sections down to 2 to 3 paragraphs highlighting only important information? If you are unwilling to do so, other editors will help to shorten it. Do take note. Thanks. Copyright vio? edit

Per https://www.cae-acg.ca/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/A-History-1987-2018-of-the-Canadian-Academy-of-Engineering-1.pdf, high overlap with this CAE history. David notMD (talk) 02:59, 4 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

Copyright content has been removed. An Admin confirmation needed before the tags are removed. David notMD (talk) 10:29, 4 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

In-line citations edit

The two in-line citations to CAE history documents should be turned into references. Content can then be concisely paraphrased to expand the article. David notMD (talk) 12:49, 4 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

Copyright violations edit

@Kbimmfss: Hi there - I saw you started to edit this page again. I hope you received the warning concerning copyright violation. I have just proofread what you wrote and tidy things up. If you are unsure about anything, please feel free to ask other editors or even myself. You can leave notes and questions on this talk page. CanadaMaple123 (talk) 13:12, 13 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

@CanadaMaple123: Hi - Can you please explain more about the copyright violation - I work for CAE and have referenced our own articles written on our history. I'm not sure how to get around a copyright violation of our own materials? Thanks Kbimmfss (talk) 19:50, 14 June 2019 (UTC)Reply
