This is NOT an advertisement. California Oregon Broadcasting, Inc., which owns KOBI-TV in Medford, Oregon, and KOTI-TV in Klamath Falls, Oregon, is a broadcast company much like Freedom Communications, which owns KTVL (also of Medford). In paragraph 2 of the article, the statement "Their number one interest is localism!" isn't cited or otherwise backed up. This smacks of marketing material. In any case, it cannot be assumed that a local company is most interested in localism -- most likely, they're interested in making money, which after all is the point of business to begin with.
