His brother Basil of Caesarea?

edit

It says in the article that

After escaping from the earthquake which shook Nicaea (11 October, 368), his brother St. Basil wrote to him, pleading for him to leave his political position and withdraw to a religious life.

But as far as I know, Caesarius of Nazianzus was Gregory of Nazianzus' brother, not St. Basil's, although they knew each other and were friends. But it has a reference, and that is something that surprises me. Maybe the author is wrong, or perhaps he means "brother" in the sense of "brother in religion". Could it be properly explained? --Joanenglish (talk) 06:06, 5 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

You're correct, Basil wasn't the brother of Caesarius. I think it was Gregory who wrote to Caesarius, not Basil. Majoreditor (talk) 23:10, 5 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
