Propose delete outdated list of reports

At the end of the page, I request that the following be deleted: "A few recently released reports include:" and the bulleted list that follows it. The list is out of date and even if refreshed would soon be out of date again. It should be deleted. I do NOT propose deleting section "Research" nor its first sentence: "CNA research covers a variety of topics including national defense, education, energy, water and climate, air traffic management, and safety and security." This does not need to be deleted as it is not out of date and could be expanded upon by someone later. I am on the staff of CNA and am therefore requesting this edit instead of making it myself. My reading of Wikipedia:Notability suggests that WP:NOTTEMPORARY is irrelevant to this discussion. To quote that page: “notability is a test used by editors to decide whether a given topic warrants its own article” and “The notability guidelines do not apply to contents of articles or lists.” The request was for the deletion of content, a list inside an article. Perhaps the more relevant guideline is Wikipedia:Content_removal, which says that for content that qualifies as “not significantly relevant” ... “move the content to the Talk page with a note explaining why you have relocated it.” This content is a random list of reports over a 21-month period in 2014 and 2015. As time goes on, it becomes increasingly irrelevant and (since it is described on the page as "recent reports") inaccurate. If other editors think it would be more appropriate to follow Wikipedia's suggestion that irrelevant content be moved to the talk page, I would support that move. I agree with dsnoozer. The content is irrelevant, and there is nothing about the content that suggests the editor is trying to remove the content because of a bias. The content is not unflattering, it’s just irrelevant. Hickswa (talk) 19:10, 24 February 2018 (UTC) — Hickswa (talk • contribs) has made few or no other edits outside this topic.

Research

CNA research covers a variety of topics including national defense, education, energy, water and climate, air traffic management, and safety and security. A few recently released reports include:

• North Korea's Provocation and Escalation Calculus: Dealing with the Kim Jong-un Regime (August 2015)
• The Potential Environmental Impacts of Fracking in the Delaware River Basin (August 2015)
• National Security and the Accelerating Risks of Climate Change (May 2014)
• In February 2014, CNA released an "Independent Assessment of the Afghan National Security Forces." This assessment, tasked by the United States Congress, outlines the likely security environment for Afghanistan over the next decade as well as an overview of the Afghan National Security Forces capabilities.

Naval Reserve Systems Analysis Divisions (1971-198x)

During 1978, United States Navy Reserve Systems Analysis Division (NRSAND} V-12 scored results of a Center for naval analyses (CNA) Naval Tactical Data System (NTDS) simulation exercise. It was designed to assess when this man-machine system becomes saturated with multiple attack vectors.

The NRSAND-augmented effort was hosted by Unisys in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Feedback from this experiment was to help specify Aegis Combat System performance metrics. USS Vincennes (CG-49) on 3-July-1988 showed NTDS simulation feedback was ineffective or prior lessons learned were ignored.

VADM David C. Richardson (admiral) advocated the fusion of current intelligence with current operations during his tour as Deputy Commander, Pacific Fleet (1970-1972). Prototype NRSAND 14-1 (Intel) and 14-2 (Ops) units pioneered a WWMCCS computer-assisted Decision support system (DSS) merging both Operational Readiness (C321) and Sea Surveillance (C322).

University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa Graduate Studies for Information science and Information technology launched its annual HICSS Conferences with IEEE Computer Society during 1968. It enables sharable publications about global research projects.

During July 1986, the Coronado was relieved as Sixth Fleet command ship and ordered to Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, to become the command ship for Commander, U.S. 3rd Fleet.

On 26 November 1986, Commander, Third Fleet shifted his flag from his headquarters ashore to resume status as an afloat commander for the first time since World War II, aboard USS Coronado (AGF-11).

Doctor Ralph Sprague directed ongoing DSS research supporting pragmatic Anti-submarine warfare (ASW) Programs for the United States Navy and United States Third Fleet when based at Ford Island. The Admiral Clarey Bridge honors their innovative public-private sector collaborations and near peer mentoring initiatives.
