Bus transport in Rio de JaneiroRio de Janeiro Bus Rapid Transit – I do not know if the overall bus transport in Rio is a noteworthy topic for its own article. This page was originally created by Hack who decided to carry out the merger of the stub articles BRS (Rio de Janeiro) and BRT (Rio de Janeiro). I suppose that the bus rapid transit network should be the topic, as the overall bus service is quite broad and could be placed in a general article entitled Transport in Rio de Janeiro as a translation of Transportes do Rio de Janeiro from pt-wiki. Users can consult the link to pt-wiki in the tag above the article for details of info that could be translated for the BRT article as well. <<< SOME GADGET GEEK >>> (talk) 02:52, 16 February 2017 (UTC) Relisted. Disagree Okay I think I finally understood the problem. BRS is actually not the same thing as BRT. It seems BRS is basically just a buzzword created by politicians to sell cosmetic improvements to the normal bus system, unrelated to the Bus Rapid Transit. So I disagree with @Some Gadget Geek:, the only way a merger could happen between BRT and BRS is into something like the current Bus transport in Rio de Janeiro.--User:Dwarf Kirlston - talk 18:27, 19 February 2017 (UTC)Reply
PS: I think maybe merging them all into "Transport in Rio de Janeiro" would be fine though.
Update: pinging earlier participants in the earlier merge discussion over at [1] @Prburley: @Hack:--User:Dwarf Kirlston - talk 00:16, 27 February 2017 (UTC)Reply
I also disagree about another issue, namely that the BRT would in some way be more relevant or encyclopedic than the bus system in general. I don't see the rationale for coming up with that conclusion.--User:Dwarf Kirlston - talk 00:20, 27 February 2017 (UTC)Reply
