Talk:Bradley King (filmmaker)

Latest comment: 3 years ago by MasqueDesRonces in topic Promotional content

Hi there!

I already addressed this concern, like your others. I went back and added more sources. Is there a particular source you're looking for? There's hundreds of third party critics reviews, film festival panel discussions, etc., but you've rejected others of the same type.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Amesion (talkcontribs) 17:58, 12 January 2015‎

The WP:GNG link explains what's required. Wikipedia needs secondary sources that discuss King in detail, not namechecks in press releases and IMDB entries. Film reviews may count if they discuss King as well as the film, panel discussions are probably out as they're WP:PRIMARY sources. --McGeddon (talk) 18:03, 12 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

Promotional content

edit

The page seems to have been written by something of a single-issue contributor who was likely working in a promotional capacity for Bradley King's single feature. As a result, it reads very much like a resume, albeit one that is sourced according to Wikipedia policy. My first instinct is to remove the (very atypical) "Review" section altogether. As noted in the article's deletion debate, it would also be useful to shorten the awards section to a couple paragraphs of natural prose. --MasqueDesRonces (talk) 10:16, 3 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

I've deleted the awards section altogether after going through it and noticing that they all pertain to King's single feature-length film and have already been included in the relevant page. Quite frankly, there's not much about King that doesn't belong there, but the deletion debate seemed fairly positive (if lightly attended). --MasqueDesRonces (talk) 23:55, 27 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
