editIs Börtala the official Chinese name? I fail to see a rationale for using ö rather than o, so It would be great if someone could check it out. On another note, in Khalkha Mongolian "bor" means brown, not silvery. Yaan 09:39, 30 October 2007 (UTC)
- gns name search returns Bortala, so I have removed the "ö". Does anyone know which kind of script is used by the local Mongols, i.e. wetherthey use Mongol bichig or Todo bichig? Yaan (talk) 10:31, 17 October 2008 (UTC)
