plot synopsis section: film or movie?

We've got a long section "Plot synopsis" describing the plot and referring to the film, but then a section "Film adaptation" which seems oblivious to the preceding description. If the "Plot synopsis" section accurately describes the book, the words "film" in it should be changed to "book". Controversy Section

The controversy section essentially discredits the film before we even get to the synopsis. It's blatantly POV and uncited. Removal until someone can fix it.

Trivia

"The first track on The Killers album Sam's Town with the same title features the lyric 'My brother he was born on the fourth of July...'" The phrase isn't exclusive to this film/book--is that REALLY relevant? FangsFirst 23:01, 24 January 2007 (UTC)

PTSD and Vietnam

I've flagged the PTSD statement at the end. Unless someone can produce statistics indicating that PTSD is "common to nearly all" Vietnam veterans it should either stay flagged or be removed. They all do not have PTSD and not all vets will have it just for going to some war and shooting a gun at other people. 96.2.68.175 (talk) 18:06, 27 April 2021 (UTC)
