We are students at the University of St. Thomas that are working on improving this page for a sensation and perception class. We are looking to accomplish the following before the end of the semester: - Provide a base of knowledge for those not familiarity with S&P principles - Provide background knowledge on bottom-up/top-down mechanisms, and link to these pages - Increase the number of sources, especially for more recent research - Add visual representations (if possible) - Give examples of the phenomenon

Great start with the revisions. Please hyperlink to ketamine. Also combine (and further develop) the Neural basis and Brain Activity during illusion sections. Can you find (or photograph) an image for this page? For the rubber hand illusion sentence, change it to "the sight of brushing of a rubber hand at the same time as SOMATOSENSORY FEEL OF brushing of the person's own hidden hand is sufficient..." to further clarify this concept. Finally, do a careful editing search. I found a few period misplacements. ProfRox (talk) 12:01, 26 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

Looks good! All the sections are well put together and in a nice order to be able to go from one thought to another. The definition should give me a clear understanding of what the concept is without the other sections and I didn't quite understand fully until I read the other sections; so maybe expand a little on the definition. All in all great job!--Tayl2461 (talk) 00:59, 12 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Good job so far. I think that adding a picture or two could really help enhance the page, and help explain what is happening. Also you could try linking to other wiki pages like in the drug enhanced section. Overall its very good contentShep3954 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 14:45, 29 November 2011 (UTC).Reply

Great overall article! For the most part it is easily understandable and the content is good. I really liked the drug enhanced section of the article-very creative. A picture would definately add to your page and adding a little bit more information to the Neural Basis section in order to make it more reader friendly. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kswen09 (talkcontribs) 20:34, 2 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Great article you guys. I would say this is a concept that is a bit harder to understand, but you explained it quite well. my only suggestion would be to add stimulus of some sort. something to visually explain what you are talking about. user: Demi god is cool —Preceding undated comment added 15:47, 5 December 2011 (UTC).Reply

Well done article all around. This is a very interesting illusion. It was a bit hard to get my head around the idea at first. Your introduction is good but a little bit confusing at first. The "rubber hand" illusion is really cool there is a section that is worded rather weirdly. "the sight of brushing of a rubber hand" don't think you need the second of. But I thought this article was really interesting and fun to read about. Well Done!Sweetxmasham (talk) 03:34, 12 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Great article, the only thing that I might suggest is to make the Drug induced section more concise. The last 2 sentences were a bit confusing to me, I was also confused to what the ketamine was/was used for? What are the implications of the drug induced section? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kiddlecup (talkcontribs) 03:47, 12 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

My contribution of the link themachinetobeanother.org was not SPAMmy, it was trying to contribute to the discussion. Although it wasn't written like a scientific paper, its content does directly relate to this page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.26.18.220 (talk) 00:46, 7 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
