controversially?
editWhat was controversial about Bobby's elimination? He got eliminated exactly the same way anyone else did —Preceding unsigned comment added by 60.224.22.50 (talk • contribs)

- "surprise" elimination?
YouTube links
editThis article is one of thousands on Wikipedia that have a link to YouTube in it. Based on the External links policy, most of these should probably be removed. I'm putting this message here, on this talk page, to request the regular editors take a look at the link and make sure it doesn't violate policy. In short: 1. 99% of the time YouTube should not be used as a source. 2. We must not link to material that violates someones copyright. If you are not sure if the link on this article should be removed or you would like to help spread this message contact us on this page. Thanks, ---J.S (t|c) 05:20, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
Uh How?
editBobby left the program, amidst considerable public support How do you have considerable public support when you're eliminated from a show that's voted for by the public....
- "Considerable support" doesn't necessarily imply that you have the most votes. 203.221.18.140 14:13, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
Stop adding non factual rubbish to this
editCan people stop reverting changes saying he was controversially eliminated or admist public support, Idol is a popularity show so he wouldn't have been eliminated had he had public support. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 149.167.29.99 (talk) 03:00, 8 December 2006 (UTC).
Firstly, the voting mechanism for the Idol franchise is hardly unbiased, as voters are able to vote as many times as they like (or can afford). Secondly, there are consequences of the elimination process that mean that the order of eliminations affects the score. In this case, when Lavina Williams was eliminated, all those preferring the Diva style would be likely to have switched their votes to Jessica Mauboy. In contrast, had Lisa Mitchell or Chris Murphy gone earlier, then Bobby Flynn's vote would have probably increased. Who knows how much support Bobby Flynn has out there in the general population? I don't, and frankly you don't either. Best thing to say is that he is widely believed to have great public support, and then quote newspaper references.Yowie 13:14, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
That maybe the case but were is the controversy as it stated previously? and Bobby's fans could of likewise of been sending hordes of sms's, you can't have it both ways.
Could have, not could of, you complete spastic. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.183.101.130 (talk) 01:46, 8 April 2008 (UTC)

This article is libellous and derogatory, it has been written in callous disrespect to the person whom it refers and should be removed immediately and consequences for the writer as are fit in line with Wiki policy should be given serious consideration. Sincerely M. Clifford Brisbane. |
