This article credits Griffin as the first sponsor in NASCAR, which is demonstrably incorrect. Unfortunately I can't read the cited article which appears to be behind a paywall, so I can't tell if it's been incorrectly cited or the original article is wrong). The first sponsor in NASCAR was probably Raymond Parks, who had "Parks Novelty" on his cars starting from NASCAR's first race (Parks Novelty was ostensibly a vending machine business, altho it mostly served to launder moonshining profits). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.48.95.185 (talk) 22:32, 6 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
