Recognition of Good’s Supervisorial Service in the Infobox edit

Would someone please explain why Good’s service on the Campbell County Board of Supervisors is not relevant for inclusion in the infobox? The user KidAd has gone around removing information about members of this new Congress and their service in municipal office. There are several pages that reflect Congress members’ service in municipal office, and even President-elect Joe Biden’s infobox includes his service on the New Castle County Council. It’s honestly ridiculous that a user has made this such an issue, and I would like a clear resolution to this question. Thanks! Count Awesome (talk) 01:47, 4 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

If a municipal office (or any position) is not enough to confer notability per WP:NPOL independently, then it shouldn't be included in the infobox if a politician is elected to Congress. As for "There are several pages that reflect Congress members’ service in municipal office, and even President-elect Joe Biden’s infobox includes his service on the New Castle County Council," WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS. @Novemberjazz This is curious to me (and it seems this was readded since this conversation took place). But is there a policy you can point to which states "if a municipal office (or any position) is not enough to confer notability …  it shouldn't be included in the infobox"? Seems to be very common for prior positions to be included in infoboxes both for politicians and for business people, etc. Thmymerc (talk) 09:41, 25 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
