Does Romania not do demographics or what?  :) -208.126.51.56 (talk) 03:59, 29 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

The article states "It is speculated that both bells residing in the tower ... might have melted." Surely whether the bells melted is not open to speculation. 82.36.129.101 (talk) 03:49, 12 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

Should politicians be listed in ‘Notable People’? edit

Should politicians be listed in ‘Notable People’ even if their only notable thing is being born and elected?

In that case, should we add all politicians from a city/province as to be equidistant and non-discriminatory?

I think Wikipedia is apolotical and thus not the place for such low political promotion. Kowalksi (talk) 07:45, 20 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

What makes ‘Daniel Suciu’ a notable people? Could the editors who keep adding him explain themselves?
”Just being an elected local official, or an unelected candidate for political office, does not guarantee notability, although such people can still be notable if they meet the general notability guideline.”
”Notability is not temporary;“

If ‘Daniel Suciu’ is a notable person then we should add all the hundreds of politicians that Bistrita had in the last 200 hundred years, at least. Remember that “Notability is not temporary”. So, if he is “notable” today he should still remain so in 200 years. I’m not kidding with the above. If you set such a standard I’ll take it upon myself to add all those elected politicians that meet the same “criteria” you set for Daniel Suciu.
If Wikipedia is to become the swamp of lists with politicians for the ‘Notable people’ list of a city, then let’s go all the way.
So, in repeating myself, what makes ‘Daniel Suciu’ a notable people? Could the editors who keep adding him explain themselves? Kowalksi (talk) 07:04, 21 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
”The following are presumed to be notable: Politicians … who have held … national … office, or have been members of legislative bodies at those levels.”
That’s the end of this debate, now go find something else to do. — Biruitorul Talk 20:53, 21 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
The page has multiple general criteria that must be met before meeting the profession criteria. Don’t cherry pick what you like only. Kowalksi (talk) 06:40, 23 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
He’s notable. If you disagree, nominate for deletion. — Biruitorul Talk 09:16, 23 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
