baseball line seems fishy edit

I don't see the point in putting that the school won the City baseball title in 1978 and 2007, for a couple reasons: first, those aren't the only years they won it; and second, because they won the city title in other sports that we don't mention. I don't think we should have incomplete information, and my motto is, when in doubt, leave it out. Truce m3 18:05, 17 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Further, the website says it's "probably" the schools' first city title since 1978, and the site looks very amateur. i dont' think it's a very reliable source. Truce m3 18:21, 17 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

25 years with a championship? edit

This comment needs to be expanded. 25 years with what sort of championship? Were they within the same sport? This needs an explanation badly. 207.255.210.156 (talk) 03:05, 11 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Keep the Mock Trial Info edit

I don't understand why the Mock Trial information is being deleted. Final Four appearances are the benchmark standard the governing body, CLREP, uses to award plaques and recognition to the schools that compete and excel. It isn't like the site is cluttered, it is barebones as it is. Mock Trial is what BW does best. Deleting the information only makes Wikipedia a less useful site for someone looking for information about Bishop Walsh.

Seriously, do you think someone in Maine or Calcutta would be looking up your school hoping to find info on its mock trial team? The fact that you describe the information using an acronym that no-one but people involved with whatever it is you do and from your state would understand indicates how you are thinking about this. Any article on Wikipedia should be written to inform the entire English speaking world with useful (to them) information about whatever the subject is. The statement above, "Mock Trial is what BW does best", is your opinion. That is not what wikipedia is about. It is about verifiable facts. And I am sorry if you find this insulting, but if the school is so blasted "good" at this, why aren't there state championships to talk about? Well, that is all from me. You seem to be a badge carrying member so I have lost already. No matter, here is the information I think should be on the main page.

The Bishop Walsh Mock Trial team is coached by Tony Orndoff. James Zamagias headed the team for 24 years. The team participates in a statewide competition administered by the Citizen Law-Related Education Program (CLREP). Bishop Walsh won the state championship in 1990 and was a finalist in 1989, 2003, and 2010. Bishop Walsh also made the "Final Four" in 1997, 1998, 2002, 2004, and 2011. The team is the reigning 2016 Circuit Champion.

If it never makes it back there, who cares? I will find another open source information site and post it there. Lasersnake (talk) 23:07, 13 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for realizing that. I was going to suggest a webpage for the content you want, as it will never be appropriate here. Have a great day. John from Idegon (talk) 01:27, 14 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

I am thinking Facebook, it is more popular and cutting edge than this site anyway. Wikipedia was a really cool site, and even cooler idea back about 10 years ago, when I first got involved. There were no "one size fits all" standards for appropriate content. There weren't legions of badge carrying enforcers seeking out small bits of content on minor pages to delete. It is sad to see the site as it is today. I know you guys think you are doing something good, but realistically, by eliminating the fringe information from this site, it becomes just a modern day Britannica. It could be, and used to be so much more. Well, have a nice day too. I will put up a link to the Facebook page once it is active..........if that is allowed. I am sure you will let me know.

Which Christian Brothers order? edit

Bishop Walsh faculty included Christian Brothers, as stated in the text. But the order is officially the Christian Brothers de la Salle, not the Irish Christian Brothers orde. 2601:603:4800:5870:9948:68A2:51AA:3157 (talk) 00:37, 29 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
