Is this the same Bill Holroyd that spent his childhood in Seascale, West Cumberland (as it was called in those days)? If so, he was known at the time as BILLY Holroyd and attended Seascale Primary School up to July 1964. I don't know if he later attended the nearby Wyndham Comprehensive School in Egremont, as the last recollection I have of him is at a bonfire in the car park of the Wansfell Hotel whilst he was at Seascale Primary.
