I think it's unclear whether some of his injuries were in kayfabe or not.

The problem with Michaels is touched upon. I think it should be added that Michael's broke kayfabe and berated Vader in the ring during the match. I can't quite remember the reason for the three finishes, but Michael's opinion of Vader wasn't a good one.(Halbared 13:02, 28 May 2006 (UTC))

Career before WCW

Why is there no mention of his career before WCW? It seems like a very odd place to start.

Somone vandalised the article and removed that section recently, and no one has bothered to put it back in. I'm working on putting that section back now.Sarge 2.0 18:46, 2 September 2006 (UTC)

Vader's Name

Vader is actually wrestling under the name "Big Slam" currently in Pro Wrestling Unplugged. I'm not sure if he is still using Vader but I know currently he wrestles as Big Slam in PWU. I changed the bolded name on the page to "Big Slam" and added a paragraph about him currently in PWU on there but it was deleted and changed back to Big Van Vader.

It'd help if you had some proof...plus, he's always going to be known best as Big Van Vader.

Big Slam Vader is not Leon White. That is another man who happens to use that name because of his likeness to Vader. Big Slam has been on the independent circuit for years under that name. Do the research and see for your self. I am removing that info now68.161.74.189 15:31, 8 May 2007 (UTC)

Vader Bomb

• No, the second rope splash is the Vader Crush. The Vader Bomb is the powerbomb. Ignore what the WWE told you, because it's stupid and it doesn't make any sense.

I have to agree that the splash was billed as the "Vader Bomb" in the WWE, and the powerbomb was called a powerbomb, in both WWE and WCW. Makes perfect sense to me. BoosterBronze 22:54, 30 August 2007 (UTC)

Shawn Michaels, Summerslam

I checked the page like a week ago and it still mentioned the controversy in the match with HBK, since it is of rather common knowledge that he was booked to win the match. It seems to me as a relevant piece of information, since it was basically a major screw in his career, keeping him away from a title he had been promised. Also, AFAIK, during contract negociations, he was promised the title from Michaels, to trade it with Bret Hart and then return the favor to HBK, as well as the IC Title from The Rock. The first two being overthrown by the Clique and the third ruined due to the issues in Kuwait. I'll make my research and cite a reliable source as soon as I can, but meanwhile if someone can add something else it'll be great. Your entire paragraph is full of unsourced (and possibly BS) rumors. "Well known"? Then how come this is the first i've heard of any of it (and I am a huge wrestling fan)? TJ Spyke 06:44, 21 March 2007 (UTC)

Okay, those are not rumors, since I apreciate wrestling and don't enjoy forum rumors or slander either. But Vader has said so in shoot interviews, and Kip James said a lot of stuff down that line when he left WWE (altough I won't use this as my backup, because AFAIK, James left the company in very bad terms). Vader is a non-ambiguous title that does not reflect the fact that he achieved the bulk of his success in Japan, whereas Leon White is nothing other than an unhappy compromise, given that he has never performed under this name. If we're talking Japan then you must be referring to his 4 year stint with NJPW. In UWFI he has known as Super Vader and in his later AJPW and NOAH stints he went simply as Vader. Vader (wrestler) redirects here. I just don't think a lot of the wrestling fans searching Wikipedia will be typing a name that hasn't been used in 11 years. Suriel1981 23:40, 19 March 2007 (UTC)

• Oppose Big Van Vader is not really a name he's used outside of NJPW and WCW. His WWF, NOAH and latter-day career were simply as "Vader" (and that name is a disambiguation on here). I think "Big Van Vader" as a redirect is enough. The first experience of seeing the man was under his "BVV" name but I would expect to find him in an encylopaedia under "Vader" or "Leon White".
