Fair use rationale for Image:Mx002613-1-.jpg
editImage:Mx002613-1-.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
The History of the production of "Big Poppa"
editCarl "Chucky" Thompson, a Washington D.C. native and newly signed producer under Bad Boy Producer Management (93-98) and original member of the famed "Hitmen" production team, is the producer of the smash single "Big Poppa". He, along with Nashiem Myrick (another fellow Hitmen producer) actually created the platform for the smash single.
Nashiem Myrick, (who was also "Daddy's House" original studio manager) was the programmer for the "Between the Sheet" Isley Brothers sampled loop. Thompson put the finishing touches on it by adding the 1-2 drum pattern and the trademark West Coast synth line to seal the deal.
Thompson:
"I met BIG and i thought to myself, this guy may be from NYC, but his appeal was definitely universal. He's just a BIG playa. That to me is "Worldwide" When I first got introduced to BIG he had a mostly New York production based album. I knew he had an affiliation with West Coast hip-hop from his demeanor. So when Nashiem had this loop running, that was clearly to me a chance to put BIG to the test. This record has a universal player vibe to it. I felt the same vibe as Ice Cube's smash single, Good Day. If BIG is what I think he is, then he will take to this universal player vibe like a fish to water. I did the track and left for the day. Came in the next morning and Nashiem was like "yo, i gotta hear the hook BIG laid on the Isley joint". I heard it and said, this is exactly what I knew he was gonna do."
