Baati (woreda)Bati (woreda) – Bati is the english name Ue3lman (talk) 21:10, 26 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

This is a contested technical request (permalink). Vaticidalprophet 12:41, 29 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

Pinging Ue3lman and BarrelProof. Vaticidalprophet 12:41, 29 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

@BarrelProof: The CSA (an Ethiopian government agency) spells it Bati and not Baati. Looking at the page history User:Rastakwere (a now blocked account) changed the name to Baati with an edit summary of "name Baati in local Oromo language". The article used to be named Bati (woreda) but Rastakwere instead copyied and pasted the content of the article from Bati (woreda) to Baati (woreda) without ever using the move page function (that's why you can't see the page history below August) Ue3lman (talk) 19:02, 29 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
It sounds like a histmerge will be needed instead of an RM, or in addition to it. I have tagged this article for a histmerge. Since this is a request to revert an undiscussed move, it should probably be "speedy" granted as a procedural matter. — BarrelProof (talk) 19:13, 29 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
The histmerge has been completed. Support speedy move as a revert of an undiscussed move by a since-blocked account (and don't forget the Talk page archive). — BarrelProof (talk) 02:50, 1 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
