correcting information by Masri's grandson Nadeem Haque

edit

I am the grandson of Masri (and I am the main author of the Animal Advocacy paper cited). The ecognitions idea was my idea, not Masri's! The article was written by me after Masri's death in 1992 where I combined some of his ideas with my research.

Ecognitions are the main thesis of my co-authored book Ecolibrium: The Sacred Balance in Islam.

By the way, in the book Call to Compasion by Lantern, I have a bio of Masri! 70.48.235.89 (talk) 03:03, 6 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hi, do you know if Basheer Ahmad Masri was a vegetarian in his personal life? I have read contradictory statements about this, most sources seem to claim he was not a vegetarian personally but he did promote it. Psychologist Guy (talk) 10:48, 6 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Article has changed name without any consensus

edit

Today this article changed name to Bashir Ahmad Masri. However, all of his books were published under his name Basheer Ahmad Masri [1], [2], [3]. A scan for "Bashir Ahmad Masri" brings up hardly any weblinks. Psychologist Guy (talk) 21:09, 28 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

As the move was made by an otherwise disruptive and now-blocked editor, I have reverted said action. Please note that this is simply an administrative action to restore the status quo ante and I have no stake in the matter. I recommend that any further discussion as to the proper title of the article occur here among interested parties prior to any further moves. --Kinu t/c 16:16, 1 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
