The numbering of the barons may well be correct according to the rules of peers, but they are not the numbers used by this particular line of peers. Even the House of Lords' register lists the present Lord St.John as the 21st Baron St.John of Bletsoe not 22nd as listed in this article.

Both Burke and GEC have double numbering of several Baron's. The churches at Bletsoe and Melchbourne have memorial plaques which show details of 14th Baron to 18th Baron with details of birth and death as well as other family relationships. According to this article these individuals should have been the 15th to the 19th Barons.

I have started to edit some of the more detailed entries but cannot change the title line hence the links will not work to follow from one baron to another.

Can someone help please?
