Biopic edit

The BBC broadcast a biopic of her life in 1980 entitled "That crazy woman" starring Zena Walker. See The Times 21/2/1980. Worth a mention? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 185.122.232.207 (talk) 20:20, 20 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

Untitled edit

Request: Barbara Moore, referred to in 'The Boy Who Loved Books' Sutherland, J. 2007 London: John Murray (in her record-breaking walking) "a civilian, Barbara Moore, clipped two hours off my time for the 110 mile bash. She was fifty-nine years old and carried no equipment other than a vacumn flast and a tortoise in her shopping basket....Moore had been an aviatrix in the Soviet Union. She was later, I seem to remember, revealed to be a fraud."

Can any of the following be substantiated by other sources? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.157.175.211 (talk) 16:25, 6 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Number of days to walk across America edit

The article states it took Moore 46 days to walk across the U.S. and cites "The Wheatgrass Book", Ann Wigmore. Dividing 3,387 miles by 46 days, Moore would have had to maintain a steady 3 mph pace, 24 hours/day, for 46 days. Online, I see 86 and 89 days quoted as well, which would mean she maintained an average pace of 3 mph for 12 hours per day for 86 consecutive days, which seems closer to reality, though still a feat.
