This is a great, thorough article, but it may be a speedy fail because of the lack of inline citations for entire sections. You do have many references, but they need to be throughout the article backing up every fact. The History section has references, but not until the fourth paragraph. Paper money of the first dollar only has a single reference, and the second dollar isn't mcuh better. The third and fourth dollars are pretty good, though Replacement banknotes and Collecting ability are also lacking.

You've done an absolutely beautiful job with the tables with images and descriptions of the banknotes, but there just needs to be more references. I won't fail the GAN yet so you can work on it, but it needs significant citing. Reywas92Talk 15:14, 3 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Many of the missing references appear to come from the Paper money catalogue as listed in the References section: I have begun linking some parts of the text to the references. --Marianian (talk) 13:51, 7 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Those are much better! There are just a few more places that need refs.

  • "also to counter the effects on inflation, which peaked at around 48% in 1991."
  • "It was followed by the $1 000 denomination in 2003, the sole difference between the two variants of the $1 000 notes (Pick no. 12) only being the typeface of the serial number."
  • Gideon Gono series
  • Standard Chartered series
    • These two sections are probably also from the books so you can jsut copy that cite, but everything does need a ref
  • "Bearer cheques dated 15 September 2003 bear the signature of the acting governor Charles Chikaura. The remainder of the series bear the signature of Dr. Gideon Gono, who was appointed governor in November 2003."
  • Also, refs 44, 45, 47, and 47 should be formatted.

Again, this is an excellent list and I hope to give it GA status soon. Reywas92Talk 16:18, 10 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Done Along with the formatting improvements to the said references (which may have changed its number), the relevant articles and books have been identified and associated with the said facts with corrections where required. --Marianian (talk) 18:01, 10 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Excellent! I will be passing the GA, and I hope to see you at WP:FAC! Keep up the great work with Zimbabwe articles! Reywas92Talk 19:51, 10 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
