Balloch Castle and the Baloch! edit

I think that the following text in this article is not based on any historical source. It could be a prank or an act of vandalism:

In 1784, the Scottish Government asked for help from the Balochs to fight against their foreign enemies. This memorandum government had built the government to thank the Baloch nation. Faisal Albalushi

In the High Castle? edit

I've read the Duchess of Albany fled King James I to Balloch Castle, on Loch Lomond. Is it on Inchmurrin, or elsewhere? Trekphiler 18:59, 3 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Its beside the Loch, to the south, near Balloch, West Dunbartonshire. Edward Waverley 15:09, 21 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Balloch Castle, West DunbartonshireBalloch CastlePrimary topic. The other Balloch Castle was renamed Taymouth Castle in the 18th century. This Balloch Castle is much better known as an attraction for locals and visitors to the National Park alike. --Relisted. • Unsure... there are three castles listed at the DAB at Balloch Castle and all appear to have some fame and significance, and even if the other two are now better known by other names (and even that isn't clear in either case, as Balloch Castle in one case refers to a previous building, and in the other to a previous site), that doesn't make this one the primary topic. It would need to be much better known by that name than either of the others... is it? Andrewa (talk) 02:10, 19 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
Yes. For example, a Google search for "Balloch Castle" turns up pages of results for this place. I noted one result for Loch Doon castle on the fifth page of results, and a couple of results about Taymouth on the 8th page. Does that help? Jonathan Oldenbuck (talk) 13:05, 19 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
  • Yes I created this article as Balloch Castle originally and was surprised when folks thought it necessary to move it to its current location and create the DAB page in 2007. Given that this is clearly the thing most people mean when they say "Balloch Castle" and that the other two contenders for that name are each better known under another name, I support this proposal.
