Expert attention needed edit
This article has been created by a mathematics student who is only aware of the (0,1) subset of balanced matrices, but I get the feeling from this source that the realm of balanced matrices can include general integer matrices. More clarification of the definition of a balanced matrix is needed, as well as an explanation of the applicability or utility of such matrices. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 16:11, 22 June 2010 (UTC)
The slides you are referring to cover an other class of matrices which by coincidence the author also calls "balanced". For example, 2-cylce matrices are Doust-balanced with C=R=2 (no matter if the matrix is of odd or even order). To the best of my knowledge, balanced matrices as they are covered in the wiki article right now are more common. If somebody knows more about the alternative class of Doust-balanced matrices and its relevance, it certainly could get a mentioning in this article as well.
