Hello creator of the B.M. Bower page. Thank your for your work on this important author. I have done a lot of research on Bower and there are few edits I would like to discuss with you. The page cites Elmer Kelton that Bower's sales dropped once it was widely known that she was a woman. According to my research, it was never widely known that she was a woman--her publishers kept it a secret throughout her career. It was somewhat more well known in California when she was living there, but in those days, as you know, the word didn't spread like it does now. So I'd like to qualify this claim in the article. Kelmer himself asserts this as hearsay ("it is said that...) To come clean, this would mean citing my own book, "Westerns, A Women's History" which includes a chapter on pseudonyms and women's westerns. I did a lot of research on primary sources that I think has a legitimate place in the Wikipedia article. Also, I'd like to add a section about her Nevada mining adventures. I am currently writing a biography of Bower, so right now my stuff on Bower in Nevada is original research, but when it gets published I think it would be okay to use my biography as a source in the Wiki?. I'm new to Wikipedia editing and still learning the protocols. In the meantime, I think a can manage a few lines referring to her mining activity citing sources that are already out there.
