Audacious is no more a fork of BMP Player

Sources needed

What is MPRIS

Skins and/or lack thereof

I object to these statements in the article, as they seem to imply that Audacious 2 will completely lack skinning:

Audacious had full support for Winamp 2 skins, and as of version 1.2, some free-form skinning is possible.

Audacious 2.x will have a non-skinned UI which will better emphasize on many of the player's features which are poorly exposed in the UI.

From what I've read on the website, Audacious 2 will have both a skinned and a non-skinned interface. The article should make this more clear. 69.110.33.194 (talk) 04:55, 17 October 2008 (UTC)

Good question. Yesterday, I was searching for some information for quite a while, only now I was pointed to these sentences "As of October..." which, although they don't help, at least explain something. So is there any homepage, bugtracker and so on? --Tomash (talk) 20:18, 30 November 2008 (UTC)

The home page for Audacious Media Player is at www.audacious-media-player.org, but the link to the bug tracker is currently broken. Unfortunately, I can't find any way to contact the site maintainer to get it fixed. One can get into the bug tracker by going to www.atheme.org, but it doesn't seem to have much there, like it was ported from a previous version and the database didn't get imported properly. —Quicksilver^{T @} 23:58, 26 February 2009 (UTC)

"Audlegacy"

I removed the section about "audlegacy". I do not see that that project is relevant here. (It is forked from an old and buggy version of Audacious, and has had a total of 8 changes in over a year since it was forked, most of which are nothing more than random imports of changes made in Audacious.) Weston does client-side decorations, AFAIR KWin announced they will do server-side decorations (with Wayland), now I am not sure about GNOME's default Mutter (software). User:ScotXW^t@lk 19:38, 23 June 2014 (UTC)

Background recherche

Some background recherche reveals, that GTK+ 3.10 indeed removed support for the "Motif DND protocol", ref: GTK+ 3.10 released.
