Comments edit

This article should not be deleted. It is notable because of the headlines it made and because it is a high profile human rights case in Chile. Qrc2006 14:38, 27 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

If no other event hinged on this case then this article is simply a piece of campaigning journalism, which has no place in an encyclopedia.Twospoonfuls 14:42, 27 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
Also the disparaging tone in which the husband is refered to is not NPOV.Twospoonfuls 14:45, 27 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
OK. I agree it's a keeper.Twospoonfuls 15:35, 27 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Refactoring edit

The article had some signficant issues, not so much neutrality (although I understand those concerns) as the casting of it as biography. See WP:BLP1E. As a result, I've refactored the article into an article on the case--which is really what the previous article was about. It still needs work, and there's no reason we can't have appropriate redirects for Karen Atala and such, but this is really the proper way to handle this data within Wikipedia. --j⚛e deckertalk 01:18, 6 December 2012 (UTC)Reply
