From the Oxford Dictionary of National Biography:

After leaving school he worked as a clerk at Battersea Co-operative Society and a collector for the Southern Co-operative Building Society
His wife, Mabel Webb, "was a journalist, broadcaster, and (as Mrs Arthur Webb) author of works on domestic economy."
He was heavily involved in the Building Societies Institute and the Chartered Institute of Secretaries. From 1903 until 1945 he was on the executive committee of the National Association of Building Societies (in 1936 it had been renamed/reformed as the Building Societies Association).
He was elected to Surrey County Council
He and his wife had four children
He was chairman and governor of various schools in Wimbledon
He was appointed as a magistrate in 1915

According to this site Mabel Webb, was a suffragist, wrote cookbooks for the BBC, and often featured on Woman's Hour. LittleDwangs (talk) 21:23, 15 August 2021 (UTC)Reply
