Alif wasla

edit

Is there a way to type Alif wasla ٱ using the Arabic keyboard?

I was surprised that i can easily find the other harakat, but not Alif wasla. --Amir E. Aharoni (talk) 19:36, 7 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Not as far as I know but I am not a computer expert. --Meno25 (talk) 11:57, 10 July 2009 (UTC)Reply
So what do you do? How do you type it? Or do you just ignore it?
Unfortunately i don't know Arabic as well as i'd like to, but AFAIK Alif Wasla is supposed to be used whenever the other harakat are used and it should be rather common, too. Am i wrong? --Amir E. Aharoni (talk) 20:38, 11 July 2009 (UTC)Reply
Using the Character Map, of course. Actually, although that I am a native Arabic speaker but I don't know what this Alef wasla is used for. It is rarely used in writing on Arabic Wikipedia, may be it is more common in other languages using the Arabic alphabet such as Persian. --Meno25 (talk) 02:48, 15 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

very sorry

Hey dear me you can do it by typing two keys simultaneously: (shift key + G key)= أ .And (shift key + N key)= آ

And I am very sorry for this delay.ترجمان05 (talk) 19:54, 7 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

What delay? This was very quick, thanks!
But at my computer Shift-G is لأ - Lam-Alif-Hamza, and Shift-N is آ - Alif-madda. I was looking for Alif wasla ٱ. --Amir E. Aharoni (talk) 20:03, 7 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Cyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request it's removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.

Resolved This issue has been resolved, and I have therefore removed the tag, if not already done. No further action is necessary.—cyberbot II NotifyOnline 06:15, 12 December 2013 (UTC)Reply
