Apple One (service)Apple OneApple I, which Apple One currently redirects to, is usually spelled either "Apple I" (with a Roman numeral I) or less commonly "Apple 1" (with an Arabic numeral 1). It is rarely spelled as "Apple One". When readers search for "Apple One", they are looking for the subscription service offered by Apple, not a computer of which only a few hundred units were produced 45 years ago. feminist (talk) 15:46, 9 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

  • Support The nominating rationale makes sense -- Apple One is certainly not a ridiculous term for Apple I, and should exist as a hatnote, but its very clear from usage that with this spelling/format it is intended as the subscription service, across news, books and other sourcing. In theory I guess we could argue there is no overwhelming primary topic, but directing readers instead to a dab page feels counterproductive and an intentional hurdle to disrupt reader navigation.--Yaksar (let's chat) 16:49, 9 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
  • Support I wouldn't be so sure as to which page gets more traffic, but with hat notes on both pages, the move makes sense.--agr (talk) 18:19, 9 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
  • Support. While Apple 1 does get significantly more page views, Apple One is the correct name of the service, so a hatnote should be sufficient. Mannysoloway (talk) 01:56, 10 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
  • Neutral: I obviously know of Apple I - it is a seminal step in computer history. (I would ask the nom to abstain from disparaging comments about subjects you clearly know little about. The number of units sold is not as relevant as you seem to think it is. Thank you) However, I did not even knew "Apple One" existed, much less what it does. However the name of the computer is Apple I and not Apple One, so providing there is a hatnote "this is about the service. For Apple's first computer, see Apple I" (or similar) I see no reason to oppose this suggestion. CapnZapp (talk) 07:32, 10 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
  • Weak oppose Google does seem to return the service for this term but as mentioned Apple I gets more views (13,228) than the series (1,619)[[1]] and its quite plausible readers will use either term. Instead I'd suggest making this title a DAB. Crouch, Swale (talk) 11:09, 10 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
  • Support Compare Android One vs Android 1.0, with Android 1, being a dab. In my view, Apple 1 is a much more likely search term for the Apple I. In fact. [2]] Apple 1 does receive more views compared to Apple One. - CHAMPION (talk) (contributions) (logs) 08:38, 15 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
