Reissues of "X" material

edit

For what it's worth, contrary to Williams' recollection the "X" sides were indeed re-released on an RCA Camden LP entitled "Andy Williams", paired with four instrumentals by the Living Strings of songs associated with Williams (Moon River, etc). Will look up details (it's in my collection somewhere....) if anyone is interested. 78.26 (talk) 17:18, 16 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

OK, found the record. RCA Camden CAS-2525(e). My memory was not quite correct. It does have the four issued X sides (#s 0036 and 0091 according to [[1]] and [[2]].) It also issues the supposedly unissued title "There Is a Time" as "(There Is a Time) A-O-Lee-O", plus one song, aurally from same sessions, entitled "There's Just One You for Me". Only two songs are by Living Strings, "The Hawaiian Wedding Song" and "Moon River". 78.26 (talk) 12:56, 17 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

House of Bamboo

edit

Not to be confused with the 1955 American film noir House of Bamboo? As the list shows, it was the B-side (or double A-side?) to "Hawaiian Wedding Song" which made No. 6 in the Canadian Chart in 1958. But it was also an A-side on Heliodor in Germany. The image for this video suggests it was also later included on a compliation album of the same name. But apparently no connection with the film?? No, no connection with the film. Different songwriters listed on the 45 than in IMDb.Danaphile (talk) 04:44, 28 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

Proposal to move U.S. Holiday 100 Chart Data for "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year" to the "Holiday 100 chart entries" table

edit

Considering the large width of the peak chart position table specific for the song "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year" in the article, and considering that all the columns of this table are specific to the main pop singles charts of a variety of countries/nations/territories around the world (with the lone exception being the US Holiday 100 column), wouldn't it now make sense to move the data in the US Holiday 100 column to the separate Holiday 100 chart entries table (by creating a new row in the latter table for the song)? I'd be happy to undertake the task of moving the data. Please respond with any opposition to my proposal prior to 7 January 2024. If there's no opposition by then, I shall move forward with the change. Sliv812 (talk) 23:45, 27 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
