Wrong Wellington? edit

It is often asserted particularly in Shropshire newspapers reporting the brother's work, that the Plimer's came from Wellington in Shropshire. However, in the DNB (1885-1900 edition), Andrew is stated to have been born in Bridgwater, Somerset, and his brother Nathaniel at Wellington in the same county - that town being perhaps best known as the town the Duke of Wellington took his title from. Unless one can find evidence to the contrary, I would be inclined to defer to the DNB.Cloptonson (talk) 20:45, 1 August 2016 (UTC)Reply

The online DNB clearly states he was born in Wellington Shropshire, so the old DNB is wrong. Apwoolrich (talk) 12:10, 16 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

I have added details which confirm better his Shropshire origins, from the ODNB (published 2004 - version I consulted hard copy) article by V. Remington.Cloptonson (talk) 12:24, 17 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

Sorry! edit

While working on the article I mistakenly added Andrew's life dates in the caption of the miniature portrait of Caroline Price, then retracted them before adding them instead in the article's introductory line, but I appear to have accidentally deleted a crucial character in the caption which has now caused the picture to be invisible and the caption to appear in red letter! I assure you this was not a vandalism.Cloptonson (talk) 12:24, 17 September 2016 (UTC)Reply
