Short albums edit

I just removed a line about A.V.'s albums being too short, especially in view of the capacity of Compact Discs. This criticism is not well-placed; the short albums were all originally released on vinyl L.P., before CDs were available (up through, say, White Winds). Albums released by Vollenweider after the advent of CDs are much longer. Ahkond 01:26, 5 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Rewrite of Bio/Career Info edit

It looks like the majority of the info in the Biography section was lifted directly from the biography posted on the AV website. If anyone would be willing to rewrite this (with more information from other sources, perhaps?) and include footnote-citations it would add greatly to this article. I rewrote the whole section, since the previous content was a copy of the Vollenweiders web site. Please feel free to improve the current text. menscht 21:43, 16 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
also AV apparently never went to any school, at any level 97.105.176.210 (talk) 23:25, 9 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

Removal of my rewrite edit

I rewrote this article in July 2007 and the article got reverted in a few days by Avaf. The previous version was an almost exact copy of the website of Andreas Vollenweider and as such unreferenced and unencyclopedic. My version, while not perfect, has references and a more encyclopedic tone. Why was the version reverted without reaching consensus on the article's talk page first? menscht 20:10, 23 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

  • this sounds suspicious; maybe "avaf" is an acronym for "Andreas Vollenweider and Friends" (A.V.'s name for his ensemble and collaborators). Maybe Avaf is an employee. I'm a fan of A.V. but this is not correct use and mensch's version should probably be restored. Ahkond 15:01, 24 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
I already restored the previous version. Maybe Avaf can explain his/her actions on this talk page. menscht 18:11, 24 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
I've reverted the article again, because an anonymous editor reinstated the copy of the biography on Vollenweider's website again. menscht 12:13, 29 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
