Talk:Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority

Proposed merge with Andhra Pradesh Capital Region edit

We have three articles all dealing with the same fundamental point, ie: that some sort of new capital city will be built. Since the specific proposals - location, name etc - are at present in their very early stage, and since we have WP:CRYSTAL and WP:NOTNEWS also, it would be better if they were all brought under one heading. I'm also proposing Andhra Pradesh Capital City to be merged with the same target, at least until things settle down. Sitush (talk) 04:45, 4 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

  • Oppose I respect your view. Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority do exist as of gazette released on dec 31 2014. Also, about capital and region both are pretty different. For these also gazettes available from the government sites. It is not WP:CRYSTAL because that would apply only if the things were assumptive. Here the capital is declared and the bill was also passed in the state assembly. Only the thing is construction of buildings and government offices are not there. But those things are nothing to do with the topic. The topic is about Capital officially recognized by government. Any comments.--Vin09 (talk) 09:45, 4 April 2015 (UTC)Reply
Not every local government organisation/department or quango needs its own article. Everything that this body does will be connected with the Capital Region. I rather think that in part this lies behind the unease being expressed in the thread at WT:INB. - Sitush (talk) 14:58, 4 April 2015 (UTC)Reply
If it is then why there are articles for Hyderabad, Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority, Bangalore and Bangalore Metropolitan Region Development Authority. Also, Amaravathi is officially declared as the new name of Andhra Pradesh capital city on 1 April 2015. I suggest keeping Andhra Pradesh Capital Region and merge AP capital city into it. If there is a consensus, this article may be merged into AP capital region.--Vin09 (talk) 08:30, 5 April 2015 (UTC)Reply
