Heraclian Dynasty edit

I removed the reference to the Heraclian Dynasty as the category page specifically states that this dynasty only lasted until 711, and this emperor reigned after 715. Please provide additional information to justify Anastasios II's inclusion in this dynasty. Portia1780 (talk) 18:40, 11 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Anastasios or Anastasius edit

Is there a reason why the previous emperor is "Anastasius I" while this is "Anastasios II"? Tintero21 (talk) 17:08, 26 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I personally found myself having the same question. Emperors of the Twenty Years' Anarchy have rather inconsistently named pages. It appears to date back to a pretty old (and seemingly controversial) survey from 2006 or 2008, but I still started a discussion on it over at Talk:Philippikos Bardanes#Philippicus vs Philippikos after another user raised a similar question. I would like to invite you to partake, but obviously that's up to you. I would be interested in hearing your thoughts on the topic, though. Hope you're having a great day.
