FYI - this American Civic Assocation does not have a connection with the one in Binghamton. The article was created with the intention of it representing the Binghamton entity because of the recent shooting. I am changing the information to reflect that organization. I don't doubt that another ACA out of Washington existed in the early 20th century, but my understanding (I am a Binghamton resident and work with the ACA through the United Way of Broome County and regularly get their historical information) is that this organization was created independently and separately.

I went ahead and created an separate page for the unrelated Binghamton organization. American Civic Association (Binghamton) per discussion with Fuhghettaboutit. Reference links have been updated as well from other articles.

American Civic Association → American Planning and Civic Association – WP:CRITERIA Recognizability: For the majority of this organization's existence (1921-1970), it was known as the American Planning and Civic Association. Its archival records are [1]kept under this name. After the merger with the National Conference on City Planning, its influence and power likewise grew, so it is more likely that the organization will come up under that name. Its membership was more prestigious under this leadership, including Frederick Law Olmsted, Jr., Harlean James and J.C. Nichols. Precision Clearly there is another, more modern American Civic Association. The more significant name will resolve some of the ambiguity.
