Name of real person(s)? edit

The linked article Alraune mentions this name (which is similar, but not equal to Alruna) as the name of a fictional character as well as the name of some artistic works (mostly movies). Is the name "Alruna" really a person name used by real living persons? To the best of my knowledge, in Scandinavian countries the word is used exclusively to refer to the plant Mandrake - it is not in any way a common person name. Some works of art may use it, or derivatives, eg Alrune_Rod, but this use is rare, and any secondary use is still in reference to the plant. As for Germany, and "Alraune", it seems the same is the case. So, the contents of this article may (probably unintentional) have been written in such a way as to be misleading as to the actual use of the word "Alruna"/"Alrune", and even "Alrauna".

I suggest that the article be rewritten, so as not to suggest that the plant name is a secondary use of the word, when in fact it is the primary use.

Further, I suggest that the articles Alraune and Alruna be merged. claus (talk) 20:42, 3 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
