Requested move 4 November 2023 edit

The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.

The result of the move request was: Speedy moved and histmerged. The naming itself, presuming that an article exists, is an uncontroversial technical request. Whether or not an article should exist is outside the purview of WP:RM and is a discussion that can take place on the talk page. King of ♥ 18:25, 6 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

Alphabet of SpanishSpanish alphabet – Consistency with other Category:Latin alphabets. Serg!o (talk) 16:27, 4 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

Probably most of all content of the section Spanish orthography#Alphabet in Spanish should be moved to this article, as the Spanish orthography article is already quite long. As an example, the English orthography article doesn't contain an "Alphabet" section.--Serg!o (talk) 16:32, 4 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

  • Comment, the Spanish alphabet article used to be an actual article many years back, so maybe worth just recreating by removing the redirect, and moving the necessary prose from Spanish orthography#Alphabet in Spanish with appropriate edit summary attribution? I don't think we need to be concerned about renaming the Alphabet of Spanish article - just delete it, as it broadly seems to be a duplication of the existing section anyway. Comment - It would probably make more sense to have a split discussion and create an article out of the existing redirect. I agree that the newly created article should just be deleted. estar8806 (talk) 18:56, 4 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
