Final paragraph (on Knight of White Moon etc.) edit

I can't see what relevance the final paragraph has to Avellaneda's work. I've tried to improve its style, but I think it would probably be better deleted altogether. HugoBarnaby (talk) 16:43, 27 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

I agree. I am removing it.--Gorpik (talk) 12:39, 7 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

¶ Avellaneda's pirate sequel to Don Quixote is a volume of some importance - it is repeatedly referenced in Cervantes's own second volume of Don Quixote and, besides being much disparaged, it is rather obvious that Cervantes made a point of not having anything happen in his second volume that might resemble anything in Avellaneda's book. For that reason I would appreciate (and, I think, others would also appreciate) SOMEWHERE in Wikipedia an article with a summary of the stories in Avellaneda's book. His book has appeared in a few English translations, a couple of which are downloadable for free, and so I wish some industrious person would work up a cliff notes version of Avellaneda's volume of Don Quixote. It would probably be helpful to link or two to places where one can safely procure a "downloadable for free" English translation or even Spanish-language copy, to enable this. Such links would also be helpful as cited sources, of course.
That said, the Spanish-language version of this article (found here: [1] ) appears to have far more content in general - including reference to some of the translations ("Traducciones" - that's one word I actually know in Spanish)...which given the dates, are public-domain by now; I'm not anywhere close to fluent, not even conversationally, in Spanish, to be able to make the translation but it seems to me that might be helpful, to mine that article for content for this one? Just a suggestion :) 97.104.76.15 (talk) 19:27, 4 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
