Ok lets get something straight here,Alan did not leave the cast so he should be included in the present characters not the returning characters,Richard Thorp only took sick leave which isnt a offical departure from a soap,so please keep him in the present characters,Thank you Brianwazere 17:10, 13 March 2010 (UTC)

Who Created The Alan Turner Character?

I have removed the assertion that the character was created by Kevin Laffan. Mr Laffan was one of a number of people who had creative input into the show in the 1980s, the producer, Anne W Gibbons, and others, made major contributions. It is not fair or accurate to state that Mr Laffan was Alan Turner's sole creator.

Duration.

I do agree that 1982-2009-2010 is a bit out of place. He only took sick leave from the soap and has had other periods where he has been unseen for a while so am glad it was corrected from 1982-2009,2010- to 1982-present
