A later Agostino Chigi? edit

The Agostino Chigi in the engraving (right) is not possibly the Agostino Chigi of the article. The young man in the engraving seems to be dressed in the style of the 1630s, (see 1600-1650 in fashion), therefore apparently born ca 1605-10. --Wetman 14:52, 16 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Agreed; he is probably the Agostino Chigi who bought the Palazzo Chigi in 1659, with his (?) brother Mario.[1], the nephew of Pope Alexander VII. The image comes from somewhere on this site, but i can't see where (yes I can - "Galleria fotografica" in the library bit). Johnbod 15:12, 16 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thanks, Johnbod, exactly. Could this "Young Man of the Chigi Family" be this same Agostino at a younger age? - PKM 18:00, 19 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
Could be, or maybe the brother. The Agostino of that generation did very well by marriage etc, so was more likely to be remembered specifically perhaps Johnbod 19:17, 19 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
